The forum part is exactly the same one - we just have extra pages like highlights and news. Can you see it if you click the link?

Not being harsh, just adding to the debate, but be honest. When people visit these sites, forums etc, do they actually read the "match reports" "articles" that users post? I don't anymore personally.

There's another site that goes big on that kind of thing and i read a few out of interest and they are just not my cup of tea. It's usually wannabe journalists trying out a stand up routine.

I agree with this, I have no interest in match reports or stats or any other bollocks that I could get on the BBC website - I come here to talk bollocks.

I've no problem if people want to write it, I just don't think anyone reads it. If thats your hobby though fine.

I'm sure there are some other things that could be good on the front page but awful quality match reports is just not one of them (for me)

Quite possibly true, Natasha.

The thing is, in terms of bringing people to the site the fact that we have the news and reports and highlights meant we got an additional 200 viewers on the Saturday that would otherwise go elsewhere. They may not have joined the forum yet but at least they now know of us and may get used to seeing us around.

Does it do any harm to have the information available to those who want to look at it?

Like i said i was just putting it out there for debate; others might think it's great. Just for me I'm not a fan of these amateur reports.

Yes I totally take your point. I hope my message didn't come across in the wrong way. The forum is for the people by the people and I am sure if we, the people, don't like it the admins well cut it loose.

For me though I like being able to check the results or squad and even highlights without having to visit 3 other sites. It's convenient.

Remember guys, if it's not your cup of tea you don't have to see all the other stuff you can just look at the forum on its own. When you go to Boltonnuts.co.uk and click forum you will see a heading BOLTON NUTS DISCUSSION FORUM and under that, just above the forum, a link to see the forum in it's own right.

The key is choice and I hope it comes in handy for people.
If nobody likes it then we will be getting rid.
