Allardyce made Bolton Wanderers a pleasure for some of the top talent in the world to play for. I will always wish him well for what he created at the club.

If we'd appointed Campo as manager I can guarantee we'd have at least had a bit of passion on the pitch.

Good players don't always make good managers. Wenger, Sven and Jose were never household names on the pitch whereas football legends like Keegan and Robson never won anything.

I loved Campo during his time at Bolton but since he has retired, what evidence is there that he would be a great manager?

We don't need a great manager, just a competent one will do.

To be fair just as long as he is understandable, I see no problem.

At least he is trying to speak our language, it wouldnt haapen the other way in trying to converse with him, by most!

I honestly think he'd make an excellent coach - he has a wealth of experience.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disrespecting campo, he was fantastic for us!

Just find comments about him being a more competent manager than dougie abit irritating.

Why, there's every chance those comments are correct. If Campo had been given the job I have no doubt we'd be nearer the top than the bottom. He would have motivated the players and given the fans something to shout about.

This team is crap, but a good motivator would have got much more out of them. As I've said on another thread, the majority of the players have performed for other clubs at some point in their career.

People say Dougie needs time to get in his own players - exactly what people said when Coyle took over. How did that work out?
