Love their music, (I grew up with all the sixties music), but not particularly appreciative of the people, especially nowadays.

Lennon and Harrison were quality imo.
Paul and Ringo not so good imo.

I thought Harrison was a genuine guy, Lennon was brilliant musically, but I never really understood him as a person. Ringo was a drummer, nothing more, and his 'Love and Peace' saying , which he uses all the time, drives me nuts. Paul has always been a fucking bighead, who thinks its all about him. He still thinks he can sing, and it makes me cringe when he tries.

Great tunes- but I thought the words (or lyrics as they were called at the time) were always bordering on the inane. They sounded clever but generally they were not as deeply meaningful as people make out. There was the odd bit of decent rhyming- but that was about all
They were tolerable apart from Lennon who I thought was arrogant- full of himself- but there wasn't an original thought in his head. Everything he did and said was borrowed from someone else - people who had something to say that was worth listening to
Then he brought along that so called 'artist' Yoko Ono who was just an embarrassment.
Controversial I agree. But with hindsight they were overrated

I agree about Yoko. Rumour has it that she is being lined up for the next series of I'm a celebrity, get me out of here. Surviving on Bush tucker should be a doddle for her seeing as she has managed to live off a dead beatle for the last 32 years..

Agreed
BUT Yoko Ono was devisive and set about the downfall of the group - yes they may have split when they did but would they have gone all psychedelic like they did for their last album?

I'll be honest, outside of the "classics" I've not even listened to them.
I've never played a Beatles album in my life.
I don't think they're for me though.
