Vaz Te available for £1.5m

Apparently Forest have been told they can have Vaz Te for £1.5m. It is a pretty decent price for a player who seems to be a decent striker nowadays and can score goals.

Would you like to see us bring him back home? I am guessing there are no funds remaining for players though. But I would love to see Vaz up front with Beckford.

He looked ok at this level with West ham but that's about it, though you say he can score goals now, i'd still like to see his goal ratio, can't imagine it being much better than what it was with us.

Vaz Te drained this club of thousands and thousands of pounds over many years - most of which were spent either injured or rolling on the floor.

He was bloody awful.

Season long loan. Nothing more

Got a good record at this level, but I don't think we could afford wages or transfer fee so it's never going to happen.

Proven is pushing it a tad, he didn't bang the goals in when he went to Barnsley and wasn't prolific for West Ham...plus how old is he now?

24 goals in all competitions for West Ham and Barnsley (21 in the league) in his one Championship season, that's much better than any of our strikers have ever done at this level. 

Plus he's only 26, he'd be a good signing but I can't honestly see there being any truth in it.

Are we forgetting his record of 700 games for Bolton with 1 goal?

He made 62 of his 78 Bolton appearances between 05-07, when he was 18-20. It would be stupid to write off a player on that alone. He would have been a decent player for us had a bit more faith been shown in him.

A bit more faith?...Seriously, if he wasn't injured for us he was falling over his own feet in the box.

Big sam and Sammy Lee showed enough faith in him IMO.

That's because he broke through very young, as I said previously writing off a player because of his performances between 18 and 20 is ludicrous.

24 goals in 37 games is better than Rob Earnshaw managed in any of his championship seasons, you should be bowing at Ricardo's feet.

Don't remember many touting him for first team action when "Bambi" was here before. Other than the fluke in Guimaraes did little else. His refusal to go on loan to Hamilton Accies to regain match fitness was the final straw. He'd rather lie on the treatment table awaiting his next pay check. Badly let himself down!
