He was 20, I think it's fair to say he's developed as a player since then, he's not the first player to do so and won't be the last. Just like everybody else plenty of footballers aren't fully developed physically at that age and find their feet a bit later.

Didn't he turn down a transfer on deadline day? Can't really blame him for that or accuse him of preferring to sit on the treatment table than play neither Megson or Coyle fancied playing him, not his fault.
