Adam Bogdan was full of praise for the travelling Bolton Wanderers support as the Whites fought out a 0-0 draw against Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round tie to secure a replay at Macron Stadium.

5,500 fans made the trip to Anfield and were in fine voice throughout, as they watched on to see the Hungarian international put in a man-of-the-match performance to ensure Bolton remained in the hat for Monday’s fifth round draw.

Noting how they out-sung the Kop, Bogdan paid tribute to the Trotters support, crediting them for the part they played in helped Neil Lennon’s side claim a draw.

“The supporters were amazing today,” said the goalkeeper. “From start to finish, even during the warm-up, our sector was full and everyone was really positive and very loud.

“Sometimes we could only hear them. I think it was a really good day out for them and we really appreciate it because they definitely made our jobs easier.”

Pleased with both the team’s and his own individual performance, Bogdan called for more of the same when the two side meets again.

“Everybody gave 100% today and we are fully deserving of getting a replay at Macron Stadium,” he said. “It’s a really good feeling. Full credit to the team, we all played really well and defended really strongly.

“We knew that if we wanted to get a result then we’d need to put in an extremely good performance.

“Everyone was up to the task and we managed to come away with the draw. Now who knows what will happen, we will take them on our home turf and hopefully we can go through.

“It was good to keep a clean sheet but that is my job. It is my aim as well. Every time you play you want to play your best.

“Obviously as a goalkeeper when you come up against a team like Liverpool, at Anfield, you expect to face a lot of shots. But like I said I just did my job.”

Bogdan continued: “We don’t fear anybody and feel very positive going into every game, home or away.

“I think that has shown in our recent performances. We’ve managed to get some really good results but we have to keep going.

“We fancy our chances at home. Nothing changes, we’ll have to play extremely well because Liverpool will always be a very good side.

“We’ll have to play the same again. Hopefully playing at home will give us an advantage and we’ll be able to go through.”

Can we be as loud at the Macron as we were at An field? Would be awesome if we could.
