None of it's random and every facet of the show is scripted.

I don't know how they can show their faces in public. It's a disgrace.

Careful, you'll upset Johnny if you say too much.

First they announce that the judge's houses aren't actually their houses.

I thought this was always pretty obvious.
My understanding was that in previous years it actually was their pads but not so this year which is why they had to make the disclaimer.
I was under the same impression.

I remember when Louis Walsh had his group over in Dublin to a town house I thought was his.

It was definitely Robbie Williams' place that Craig Colton went to in LA.

Unless they'd gone to the trouble of redecorating the fake pad with all RW's gold discs and shipped in a Port Vale pool table.

X-factor needs a break for a few years. It is the same old shit and who exactly would apply this year that has never applied before?
It is just tiresome year after year, they need to give it a break before
Take Matt Cardle who won the last series that I watched in 2010. He had a number 1 hit with the single he released. His next single got to a high of 6. What is his next high since then? 14th.
They are not great artists, they are the best karaoke singers, singing other people's songs - oh and that clever idea of getting a man to sing a song famous by a woman, and a woman to sing a song famous by a man to make it unique. Bollocks.

It has had it's day although I think if it was to do alternative years of broadcasting it could still be popular.

To be fair even if X Factor got ditched, ITV would only replace it with some hopeless cheesy gameshow presented by Philip Schofield or Stephen Mulhern.

I've often thought that the better singers could do with their own material rather than replicating others, but I presume they are contracted to Cowell for a year or two so I suppose they'd be stupid to sign away their own material - if they had any that was worth putting out.
