I fooking hate cyclists on the road, they have no more right to be there than horses. They slow traffic and actually make it dangerous for other road users.

you from getting to your destination 0.2 seconds earlier?

we are already overtaxed as a nation...and your fully advocating even taxing bikes now?

do you have children? would you be happy to pay road tax on their bikes
as they would ride them on the roads to get to the park...or would your
argument be 'they ride them on the pavement' - turning a blind eye to
the fact this is actually as offence and is fineable?

cyclists annoy me too when im driving, I admit there is some proper
idiots who ride bikes and have no regard for their or others safety...

but what's more annoying is drivers like you who see a cyclist and
decide instantly that your going to 'give this guy some shit' for being
on a bike... even though hes far enough over for you, maybe even in a
cycle lane - but your pissed of becasue it prevents you undertaking the
guy in front to speed up your journey time by 3 seconds...

and the fact that your in a car, so you can run away from said cyclist
or wind your windows up when he gets off the bike at the lights to punch
you in the mouth...

I think cyclists get a rough deal. I can understand why motorists do hate them, a lot of the time you have to really slow down and are unable to get past them until the other side of the road is clear. I do think its dangerous for cyclists on the roads, I mean like that Gary Mason the boxer was killed on his bike last year, it only takes one car or truck to be driving too close and clipping them off or not concentrating and squash them.

I personally think there should be far more cycle paths which are not part of the roads. It is a great way to keep fit and better on the environment. People should be encouraged to cycle more.

I agree with this. My only gripe with cyclists is when you get a pair of them together and they ride two abreast while they have a chinwag. There should be a law against riding two abreast.

you just sound bitter and twisted because your either to fat/unfit to ride a bike and wish you could, or that ONE bad experience with a cyclist means you tar them all with the same brush...
