Adam Clayton - Worth a punt?

Gone to Huddersfield.



Huddersfield Town have signed midfielder Adam Clayton from Yorkshire rivals Leeds for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old former England Under-20 international played under Terriers boss Simon Grayson at Elland Road after being signed from Manchester City.

Grayson told Huddersfield's website: "Adam had a great season last year and scored some important goals.

"We're delighted to secure his services. I think it shows our intent in the level of players we want."

Clayton, who had been transfer listed by Leeds boss Neil Warnock, previously had loan spells at Carlisle, Peterborough and MK Dons and scored six goals in 43 Championship games last season.

Actually not true Leeds were well known to be shopping Clayton for as little as 600k. A couple of reports list the Huddersefield fee at 450k which is an absolute steal.

The Mills fee was around 1.5 million.

if that's the case i really dont know why we wasn't in for him...

we need a striker more than anything, If we are gonna spend big money on someone id prefer a striker...

Burnley have had a nibble a few times but I believe he wanted £15,000 a week and that's also why he left Leeds.

I'm getting confused with all this chopping and changing where Bolton are becoming Burnley, and West Ham are becoming Bolton. I lived just around the corner from the Boleyn ground some years ago, and don't fancy moving back there.

Hi RT, good to see you back. Talk of London teams, reminded me of the hassle about who got the olympic stadium for their club. What happened to that?

They were going to give it to West Ham then did a U turn.

Still to be decided who gets it.
