Hipster, how is it you're describing Natasha as "disrepectful" and "shameful" for saying Bobby Robson's statue looks like James Brown but you haven't commented on Reebok Trotter referencing Fred Dibnah's statue's willy and spandex pants and saying he looks like a dirty old man? Just wondering.

Hipster has always admired a good willy.

Ha, ha. I have an effigy of you on my mantelpiece, but if you submit some images I am sure we can vote on your statue.

I guess the short list might look a little like this:

1. Nat in a barbeque queue behind Sam Allardyce
2. Nat jumping up and down celebrating Julian Darby's 'winner' at The Dell
3. Nat in sailor's hat, commandeering a narrow boat
4. Nat chatting to Gary Megson in a Cheshire bar
5. Nat aged 15 giving her science teacher a hand job

Did I read something somewhere about Dean Holdsworth and a jacuzzi?

I was going to mention that last night, but I fell asleep before I got the chance.

That's what I mean, looks amateurish. Even without the cone.

I'm sure the guy who is doing nats statue will do a better job than that to be honest...it couldn't look much worse and if it is the same guy who did bobby robsons it should look good.

It's Percy Sugden from Coronation Street!

LH, I have nothing but respect for the late, great Fred Dibnah. A true Bowtonian. My gripe is with the fcuking sculptor. I mean, come on! Look at how he has positioned Fred's left hand! It looks like he is playing pocket billiards!

Knowing Fred he wouldn't be happy having his todger on tap for all and sundry. He may have been happy with the length but he would have preferred more width to his winkler.

Fred would have had it melted down and re-cast into lateral motion driving axles, clack valves and a new whistle.

Just to be clear, I wasn't offended by either set of comments, I was just asking Hipster about his contrasting reactions.

About five years ago Southampton had a statue made of former player Ted Bates which set them back £112,000. It didn't go down too well with the supporters, most of whom thought it was comedian Jimmy Krankie. They shoved a new one up which cost another £120,000.

Bolton board be warned!

Also, there's a much better statue of Fred Dibnah here, which is situated in Covent Garden, of all places.

Not only would Fred never be seen dead in a mac, he didn't have two heads either. That statue looks more like Spencer Tracy than our Fred.

I think it is a statue that moves when people put money into a hat for him, at least those are the ones I've seen around Covent Garden.

For anyone visiting London, Covent Garden is a good way to spend an hour or so - usually theres several bits of street theatre going on and its all free - or costs as much as you want to put in the hat for them.

Just wondering - is that why LargeHat is called LargeHat!?!

The statue appears to have a brown hand protruding from its bottom. Is it a prostate examination that went wrong ? Very odd.

There was a film called The Rebel, where Tony Hancock packed in his office job and decided to become a sculptor. He got his landlady, played by Irene Handl, to pose for him and came up with this -
