Favourite Player

It's quite simple, who is your favourite Bolton player of all-time and why?

I realise you'll probably have several favourite players, but try and pick your number one.

I loved Gudni, I loved John McGinlay, I loved Andy Walker and I loved Scott Sellars. But Nathan Blake is probably my all time favourite - power, pace and could finish.

John McGinlay as I've seen him score more goals than any other player in my time watching us. We loved him and he loved us. Great player.

Per Frandsen, top bloke and brilliant player for us.

If i have to chose just one however, it would have to be Kevin Davies...

a lot will disagree with me, but for me he is a player who lives and breathes bolton wanderers - he WANTS us to do well and has the best interests of the club at heart.

yes hes not a world class superstar in the mould of cahill, jay jay, anelka etc, but I know that he absolutely has busted his gut for the club (and even though hes not at his best - still does) over the years, and for this - he makes the top of my favourite player list.

Hello and welcome Barry.

Most on here won't remember Freddie but I do and what a great player he was too.

I liked Franny Lee and Wynn Davies from those days too.

I'd probably say John McGinlay as been my favourite player over the years - he used to always somehow bring a smile to my face with his goals and antics.

So many wonderful players and great times over the years and now we are stuck with clueless Coyle giving Zat Knight another two year contract!

Anyway pleased another 'veteran' as joined the site and began to post - look forward to reading more of your news and views.

Freddie on the wing was great but I liked Frank W more as I never worked out how a total pisshead managed to keep his job as a top sportsman. I always hoped he would be at his brilliant best, despite being shite most weeks.
