WANDERERS are closing in on the loan signing of Chung-Yong Lee – but might have to wait another 24 hours to complete the deal.
Crystal Palace want to hold on to the Korean superstar for tonight’s trip to West Ham United but it is understood the Whites have now agreed a deal to take him until the end of the season.
Chung-Yong represented Bolton between 2009 and 2015, making close to 200 appearances and scoring 20 goals before moving to Selhurst Park in a £1million deal.
After falling down the pecking order under Roy Hodgson the South Korea international is now looking for regular football to boost his chances of playing in this summer’s World Cup finals.

He had turned down the chance to re-join Wanderers at the start of the season to fight for his place in the Premier League but with his contract expiring this summer, Chung-Yong is now looking to use his time at the Macron to put himself back in the shop window.
Wanderers’ transfer business has stepped up a gear since the wekeend, with reports in the East Midlands claiming they are at the head of the queue to sign Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker.
The 21-year-old has been made available for loan at the City Ground, and already has 16 appearances and four goals in the Championship this season.
Phil Parkinson also holds out hope of bringing Reece Burke and Josh Cullen back on loan from West Ham before Wednesday night’s deadline - but could be forced to find another option.

Hammers boss David Moyes appeared to play down the chances of the two youngsters leaving this month when he was asked in the post-match press conference on Saturday at Wigan.
“We haven’t made a decision,” he said of Bolton’s request. “We always said we’d wait and see what happened in the cup. But ultimately my feelings is with the amount of numbers I have got it is going to be difficult.”
