PHIL Parkinson has thanked the Wanderers fans for coming to their team’s rescue on Friday night.
The Whites boss was impressed by the atmosphere generated in the 1-0 win against Bristol City, especially after coming under the cosh at 0-0 in the second period.
“The crowd were brilliant,” Parkinson said. “They are like me, it has been a tough week for them too.
“But there was a period in the second half where we needed them badly, they picked up the atmosphere and the players responded. I really thank them for that.”

Wanderers may have to bank on their home form, which has given them 21 points do date – way above any of their relegation rivals.
And the attitude shown on and off the pitch on Friday night to beat Bristol City will be what Parkinson demands from here on in.
“We have to make this place difficult for the opposition to play,” he said.
“Bristol City named a very attacking team but I thought we restricted the space they could play so well.

“We asked Derik to play an unaccustomed role on the right of a midfield to watch a couple of their men.
“Sometimes those performances go unnoticed by supporters but they don’t from managers.”

Get a grip Parky, it hasn't been a tough week for you. Gary Madine fooked off to Cardiff, big fooking deal.
