Parkinson made a complete dick of himself once more, playing one up front at home to another shit team, in a must win game, you can't deny that. Not to mention, even at 0-2 down he never really changed it.

Having said that, can anybody say with much confidence we'd have got a point or won the game if we'd played a more attacking formation? I'm not normally one to ramble on about no effort, no passion, and all that but it stood out a mile that the players weren't in the mood, the poor lambs haven't been paid after all.

Two things really got me down today.
Firstly- the football was so bad that words can't really describe it. it was as bad as I've ever  seen in 50 and more years watching them. Tactically utterly inept,  the attack was non-existent, defence was naïve. The whole thing was utter dross.
They should have been fighting for their lives and it looked like they couldn't give a shit.
Presumably most of them will be hoping for contracts elsewhere next year and rightly so as only a handful deserve to be with us next season. The only thing today which gave any hope was Luca Connell who outshone the lot of them.

The other thing is this £5 to get in and free for kids. Today  I was surrounded by loads of obnoxious brats screaming and banging the seats. So if the football wasn't enough ,other peoples feral rugrats made it worse.

Off field situation trumps on field for me at the moment, however it needs to be said we are a very very bad football team. No movement, no running off the ball, no skill at all. Some players unable to find a white shirt despite being a couple of yards away. Just a shambles really.

That was the most spineless performance i've seen from a Bolton sid in many years. They all look disinterested and there was absolutely no effort from any of the team, they were all equally bad,

I know the excuses will be rolled out about the lack of wages and the strike but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of effort shown today. They should all be ashamed to call themselves professional footballers after today.

Absolutely disgraceful performance.

I hope whoever does take over the club is a ruthless bastard and gets rid of the management team and the majority of this pathetic squad.

I gasped like a fish at each fresh outrage.

Report: Bolton Wanderers 1-2 Ipswich Town

Bolton Wanderers were defeated by Ipswich Town 2-1 in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon, with a brace coming for Tractor Boys striker Collin Quaner.

Team News

Manager Phil Parkinson named an unchanged starting eleven and bench from the side that defeated Queens Park Rangers last time out in the Sky Bet Championship.

First Half

This game didn’t start with too many chances, with a Myles Kenlock delivery into the area finding Collin Quaner in the area but defender Mark Beevers was able to avert the threat away from goal.

Wanderers responded with a Pawel Olkowski free kick, as the Pole floated a ball into the Ipswich penalty area that Beevers couldn’t direct towards Bartosz Bialkowski’s net.

Sammy Ameobi nearly had the Whites ahead on 25 minutes, as a Gary O’Neil corner kick was nodded back across goal from Will Buckley, into the path of the Nigerian.

As he got the ball out of his feet, the tricky winger tried a back heel that looked to be goal bound until a Tractor Boys defender blocked his effort on goal.

However, with 34 minutes on the clock, Ipswich went ahead.

Skipper Luke Chambers produced a pinpoint delivery onto the head of Collin Quaner, with the German nodding home from seven yards.

It nearly became a two goal deficit from the restart, as an Andre Dozzell cross-field ball to Alan Judge allowed the Irishman to hit a snapshot from just inside the box, stinging the gloves of Remi Matthews.

Chances were at a premium for Wanderers, with Ameobi coming close with a half volley that was blocked by on onrushing Ipswich defender.

With a minute to go until the break, Ipswich doubled their lead.

Collin Quaner was allowed to turn on the edge of the area and get away a shot that deflected off the post and into the back of the net for his second goal of the afternoon.

Second Half

Wanderers started the second half brighter, with Will Buckley latching onto a Pawel Olkwoski cross with a volley, but his driven shot into the floor didn’t hit the target.

Ameobi came close soon after, with a deflected driven strike at Bialkowski’s goal not troubling the towering goalkeeper.

Luca Connell provided a corner ball into the danger zone that Mark Beevers headed down into the six yard area, with Sammy Ameobi just out of reach of tapping the ball into the goal.

David Wheater made a gut busting run through the centre of the pitch to get on the end of an Ameobi through ball which went out for a corner.

The eventual set play was sent to the back post and cleared out only as far as second half substitute Erhun Oztumer.

The playmaking midfielder unleashed a brutal volley that had Bialkowski struggling to save the original effort, before claiming at the second chance.

Wanderers did find a goal in injury time, after a cross into the area deflected in off an Ipswich Town defender and petered just over the line.

Heading into the final two minutes of added time and Wanderers tried to get back into the clash against Paul Lambert’s men, but it wasn’t to be as the final whistle went.

I don't know if there are statistics kept for bad management but can anybody come up with a club with a worse losing record and still retain their manager. Six more games and it will all be over. Surely a clean sweep for League One is in order. Although even with new owners you still need better players who are willing to play in League One. Should all be interesting to watch.

The thing that annoyed me more than anything else (and there was a lot to be annoyed about) was how when we had Oztumer and Connell on the pitch we looked a much better side and actually passed the ball better.
Parky's whole approach to home games is the reason we are in the position we are in, always looking to avoid defeat and never once has he set out a team to go and win a game.
