Blackpool's Jamie Devitt has been told by his manager Neil Critchley that he needs to 'sort out that situation' amid reports linking him with a move to Bolton Wanderers and other League Two rivals.

The 30-year-old midfielder appears to be out of favour at Bloomfield Road and has not been given a squad number for the upcoming campaign.

The Tangerines began their season over the weekend when they lost on penalties in the Carabao Cup first round to Championship side Stoke City.

Reports in the past have linked him with potential moves to Ian Evatt's Wanderers, as well as Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers, all of whom will ply their trade in League Two this season.

He's never been a goalscorer although I remember he was quite quick and reasonably skilful but I'm always concerned about the idea of signing a 30 something who built their career on pace.
