Anyone remember the Dave Clark Five?
Dave was in Bits and Pieces at having to pay 83% income tax on his back catalogue so spent a year in the USA to try to avoid it. I don't blame him but it puts it into perspective when multi-millionaire football players and BBC employees try to get away with paying little more than half of that and some cases a quarter.
Dave btw won his case when the Inland Revenue pursued him through the courts.
