Get rid of him now. 19th in L2 is a disgrace and most other managers in this league would at least have this squad in the playoff positions by now.

True they hit the crossbar, but that doesn't mean they were battering the door down. Since the subs had come on we had started playing again. Clear to me that the sending off was the turning point.

Don't think anybody - including the manager - is saying 19th in League 2 is acceptable. But he's had half a season in charge and an entire football club to rebuild, so long as there's significant improvement in the second half of the season and momentum built going into next season ill be happy.
Cruising (as you know) was referring to this game, which we were.

I've only seen the tackle once in real time so can't comment whether it was a sending off or not, but what I will say is it was a reckless tackle in the current climate.
I don't think we've progressed at all under this manager, we are going to finish mid-table (at best) which is a fooking disgrace.
It makes me angry that we paid compensation to Barrow to get this guy, so it's very doubtful the club can afford to sack him. Would Hill have done any worse? Unlikely.

I couldn’t tell if it was a sending off or not either to be honest, but don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse debut for us. Tried to be over elaborate with almost every pass or touch he had, and gave the ball away every time (including for his red card).

Maddison is typical of the type of player who thinks he's better than he is, and should really be playing at a higher level. One black boot, one yellow, 'look at me'.
This has been his problem at his previous clubs, and, at 27, we might be his last chance.
I won't throw him under the bus for his sending off, but he needs to knuckle down and show us he's as good on the pitch as he is in his head.
Must say though, I was favourably impressed by the young lad from West Ham.

Did anyone really expect us to go up this season? We've had back to back relegation's and had to rebuild the entire squad both times. I may be a pessimist but i'll take us staying in the football league at the moment.
As for Maddison, it looked harsh to me but he did show even if the few minutes he was on that he is a good player. He was maybe trying too hard to impress but he will be an asset to us in the last few months of the season.
