Wanderers are approaching the halfway stage of the League One campaign, but how do the bookies rate their chances of promotion?

Ian Evatt’s men sit 15th in the table, having won just one of their last five league matches while battling an injury crisis.

However, their current position is very similar to this stage last season, when they went on to finish third in League Two after a remarkable run.

SkyBet are offering 40/1 for the Whites to win promotion again this term, which makes them the 12th most likely team to go up according to the bookies.

League leaders Rotherham are the current favourites - having won 14 of their 22 matches back in the third tier – while Wigan (4/7) and Sunderland (5/6) also rank highly.

Meanwhile, Doncaster (1/Cool and Gillingham (1/6) are the current favourites for relegation, with Crewe (1/5), Morecambe (8/11) and Fleetwood (11/4) also in the picture.

It is also worth noting that Wanderers striker Eoin Doyle - one of the early favourites to finish the season as top-scorer in League One - is now priced at 40/1.

Morecambe’s Cole Stockton (13/2), Rotherham’s Michael Smith (7/1) and Sunderland’s Ross Stewart (8/1) are among the current favourites.
