Eyesores in Britain.

When i look at old 50s and 60s films i see how ugly it is out there now in hundreds of ways. The sight that pisses me off most are the amount of yellow lines everywhere ugly bloody things and they seem intent on creating more. The word NO is everywhere as well, i went to a town in the south last year that i call Dontbourne as you are not allowed to park anywhere, walk a dog, ride ,a bike, skate ,play ball games,feed the birds,park in the country,fish,dive in,not wear a top,Climb trees and so on, signs everywhere saying NO. What sights piss you off most or you find ugly.

The lower portion of Halliwell and Blackburn road is a general shit-hole.

That pathetic arch bridge that was named the 'Gateway to Bolton' ...when its on a one way street leading OUT of Bolton town centre! (fucking idiot counsellors!)

The train station.

Some mosques are total eyesores - why do they have to make them stand out SO much - the Taj Mahal is a nice building, but a full scale replica looks totally stupid wedged in between rows of terraced housing really dont it?

The wasteland that used to be The Odeon cinema

The wasteland that used to house Bolton College on Manchester Road

The wasteland that used to be the Water Place

The inside of the Market Hall - why couldn't they have designed teh retail unites to fit in with the building rather than just using rectangular concrete blocks

The waste of space that is currently called Bolton Interchange

Bottom bit of Bradshawgate with burnt out buildings, boarded up premises (i.e. from the old Lucky King, or whatever it was called, down to Trinity Street)

the list goes on....

Too many street signs doesn't help either. Makes no difference if they lump them all together on one post or give every sign a post of its own.

What's more at night ,when you can't see them, there's a big expensive light ,lighting them up to tell you tht the sign is not in use.

Talking of which - have you ever seen the signs on the M6 say 'M6 Toll Congested'? No me neither, cause it is a total fucking ripoff so no bugger uses it. We've paid our car taxes (of which about a quarter gets spent on the roads!) so let us use ALL the fucking roads. I hate politicians - cunts the lot of 'em
