Bolton 2-1 Port Vale

Another "must win" game, this time at home to Port Vale.

Vale have lost 3 of their last 4 so not in great form, anything but a Bolton victory here would be a disaster, especially with Barnsley playing Derby.

2-0 to Bolton.

Note to KP: This game is on Saturday, we don't want to hear about the wrestling again.

We should win this one, hopefully they didn't celebrate too much after Wednesday though!

I think it’ll be another very comfortable win today, the players are in such great form. The problem is surely in deciding who starts and more importantly who doesn’t make the bench. I make it 11 players, or 10 if you exclude Dixon who would expect to be in the squad or at least on the bench now nearly everyone’s fit and back from suspension. I’m not even going to try to pick a starting eleven, I’ll leave that to IE but there are going to be a few disappointed players over the next few weeks if you ask me!!

But it wasn’t a good win Karly was it, it was a very lucky one? We were poor today and I can only put that down to the euphoria from Wednesday that must still have pervaded the squad. Plymouth seemed to suffer the same problem given their tanning at Posh? We also have to give credit to Vale who were much better than I expected and could very easily have taken the points. Certainly it was a much needed 3 points but as for Barnsley, I’m not really that concerned. The more important result for us was the Shrews beating Wycombe which keeps them further behind us with their games in hand which hopefully will reduce even further without their talisman manager?

Lucky win imo.

Things must be good to play that bad and win is a positive, to many players not on it today, Toal, Shoretyre, Mbete, even Morley just off the pace. but the records say 3 points.

Pretty much agree. We got away with one here.

We were lucky to get 3 points, we didn't play well and they were all over us second half. Nice to see a team actually come to play and not fanny around all game wasting time and they deserved a draw at the very least.

It's the sign of a good team when they can play poorly and still win.

Rubbish game, most players were well below par, but a win is a win.

I think we're fighting for 5th/6th/7th place now.

If being tired from Wednesday is the excuse, then a trip to Pompey on Tuesday we surely will be knachard. Can't see anything from that game if we play the same as against Port Vale.
