Not expecting much from this game considering our current form, think we'll lose this either 0-1 or 1-2.

I read Evatt had given the players a couple of days off so hopefully that helps but we do seem to have gone off the boil at exactly the wrong time.

It's a must win game for me to keep the playoffs alive but will we do it, probably not!

Easy win for us.

A bit like this one against Ipswich when we needed a good result!

I remember that game! A Fredi Bobic hat trick.

No prediction from me, but this game could define our season.

We'll get dicked. We haven't beaten a team above us in the league since 1967.

All the more reason we should do it today then Nat? I’m actually feeling unusually optimistic about today and think we could return to form and a comfortable win. Of course I could be very wrong?? 🥴

A draw from each of the next two games would be about all I can realistically expect. Three points would be grand of course.

Well we have Sheff Weds next Friday which will be a tough game for us. God knows what Exeter away will be like if we carry on as we are going.

Wycombe have Bristol and Barnsley.

It was all looking so promising before the Wycombe defeat. It’s all so predictable for Bolton, they are pretty good against the weakest teams in the league, struggle against the more gritty hard working teams and useless against the best teams in the league. I blame Evatt, he doesn’t have the tactical nous to be able to beat challenging teams.
Back in the day under Big Sam, he could set a team up to beat the best teams in the country with at times very average players. That’s the mark of a quality manager. Evatt is more like Coyle, no tactical ability at all. The fact Bolton were scoring so few goals for the first half of the season showed what a cautious manager he is and lack of confidence he had in being able to take games to the opposition and beat them. Big Sam would get this Bolton team promoted easily, I have no doubts about it.
Give Evatt until the end of the season but if he doesn’t get Bolton promoted they ought to give him his cards.

That was pitiful, absolutely pitiful.

Dicked by a promotion rival. Again.

The one bright spot is that it finally seems to have dawned on the happy clappers that Evans isn't Brian Clough and he's tactically clueless.

Who the fook sends out a midfield of Dempsey, Morley & Shoretire against a top team like Ipswich? It's just fooking madness. I've said it before and I'll say it again, not signing a Karl Henry type midfielder has cost us big time, we lose all the midfield battles without a player like that.

Leaving Lee on the bench was disgrace.

And once again he's playing a right footer on the left side of defence. It drives me nuts.

The Ipswich manager had clearly done his homework, they pressed our clueless centre halves right up the pitch, and they went to pieces. Just kick the fooker up the field, all this tarting about in our own penalty area just invites trouble.

And the biggest mistake of all? Selling Dapo and spending the money on Victor. Fook me, I can't remember ever seeing a player with such a poor first touch.

So last week the excuse was the players were tired. What will it be this week after they had the whole week off?

We may finish 6th, we may not, but what is absolutely certain is even if we do we have no chance against any of the sides above us. Evans out.
