Could I clearly point out the third of the three paragraphs of the BWFC tweet...

"Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest".

You have been warned!

I'd rather invest in KP's BB business.

So you'd want to start at the bottom then?

Neither will I.

FV is trading at a loss and the Bond scheme (if I'm understanding it correctly) is to raise money to take the club forward.

It is implicit that the club aims to be in the Championship soon (hence the bonus payment to investors if they do by a set date).

We all know it costs more to run a Championship club than a third tier club.

So if you put all that together you have a currently loss making business, wanting to fund progress by taking on more debt (being that the bond holders will become unsecured creditors investing into the business), whose trading costs will escalate if they do achieve their objective (promotion to the Championship) and therefore less likely to return a seasonal trading profit - and who will have to find sufficient funds to settle the bond holder investors when the bond matures.

If the business has failed to reach financial sustainability by that stage then presumably FV will have to offer another Bond scheme (or something similar) in order to pay off the current bond holders.

It actually sounds a bit like a Ponzi scheme in some respects to me - although I'm not claiming it is, or that the Bond scheme is fraudulent in any way or sense.

Caveat emptor as they say though.

(Let the buyer beware!).

I'm out.

Investing in the club you love is a nice idea, but it can lead to trouble.
The bottom line for me is that, I'm financially illiterate. I'm incapable of knowing what I'm getting into, so caution is the watchword.
That old Q&A 'How do you make a small fortune out of football?'  'Start with a large one'. Springs to mind.

Look on it as a donation and you won't go far wrong, Boncey.

Lets be honest, this is just another way of FV asking supporters to put their money were their mouths are. It implies that FV 'investors' think they've put enough of their money in already.

They have a point but how much have each of them put in and where's it gone? FV have never been  quick to tell you much about that and they aren't telling you where the money's going to come from to repay any more debt. They haven't repaid PBP yet and I think that that's been owed for more than seven years now.

No doubt all the ST's high net worth individuals will be lining up to put their quarter of a million in each...! (Note - click on the tweet to see page 2 and the £250,000 offer).

...but they best hurry...!

PS, notice the last line of the tweet above (in the small print)...

This is a high risk investment and you are basically not protected if something goes wrong!
