I realise this site has now become 'Accountancy Nuts' but let's pretend it's still a football forum.

Should win this, but with half of Carlisle making the trip it's likely to be another big crowd - and we all know what usually happens in front of big crowds.

Bod has to start for me, absolutely has to. The ball has to start sticking up top to bring Dempsey into the game more. But as Evans has been talking Bod up in the press this week he probably won't even be in the squad.

I'll be positive though, 2-1 to the Wanderers.

Need to make sure Morley is on the bench too so he can offer claps to midfielders 15 thousand times worse than him.

I just think this is exactly the type of game we cock up, big crowd, on a decent run, last game before the break. I should be confident of a good win and normally I would be but I just have this nagging feeling that we’re going to blow it again. We may not lose but neither do I think we’ll win so I’ll go for a 1-1 scabby draw!! 🥴

What happened to your usual "we'll batter these 5 nil?" Smile

Vic Adeboyejo will probably start with Dion, Dan on the bench.
Still a big question over JDB's ability to play a full game but I would have thought this one would suit him - we'll certainly need tight control going up against Mellish. I know Evatt claims he wants to "protect him" - which is fair enough given his injury record - but he's held up well in his recent cameo appearances and there has to be a case for giving him a bit more game time.
Carlisle have no real pace unless Simpson picks Ablade who is lightning fast but with about as much control as a shopping trolley on the Cresta Run - and he'd probably play as a wide man anyway.
Decent midfield Carlisle on their day - always liked Owen Moxon - so hopefully ours will stay strong after their recent exertions and we have a bit more control of the game for longer periods than we've had in the last few matches. Expecting a high press so hopefully we can show the quality to play through it and not give the ball away cheaply or be forced to hoof it forward so much today. We'll see.
