Ok, next up are mid table Cambridge, unbeaten in their last four (2 wins, 2 draws).

Seems they must have need some additional firepower up front as they've sign two strikers in the transfer window (and a fullback!).

On paper at least they must have been a bit desperate because one of the strikers has only played a handful of games in nearly two whole seasons (Lyle Taylor) and the other just 6 goals in the same amount of time (Macauley Boone) but it seems to have worked for them as Taylor has scored three goals (and an assist) in the few games since signing.

Maybe they needed new strikers because this bloke has been playing up front for them this season...

...remember him???

I was really pleased for him however when he got his goal in the Mickey Mouse Cup we won last season - he deserved to leave on a high.

Anyway a game we should be winning if we are serious about going up.

I think we will but what do you think?

It's going to be a shitty cold Tuesday night with not much action I reckon.

I'm predicting a 1-1 draw at best!

i think we'll grind out a win, it won't be pretty but as long as we win that's the main thing.

Hopefully Collins starts tonight, he looked decent on Saturday, not sure about Dion, he still puts in the hard work but looks short on confidence.

I hope you are right Norpig.

Perhaps starting Ogbeta may help too!

There are rumours that Baxter is injured and may not play which would be a big blow so I think we need to see what the squad is before we forecast a result. Will Gethin be fit enough to play or Will Forester recovered from his injury? Have the newcomers had enough practise time to figure and will IE stick with his forward pairing of Dion and Vic to start? So many questions so until we see the team who knows. Whoever we start this is for me a must win to take advantage of our games in hand so let’s hope it isn’t Baxter and the injuries Evatt eluded to aren’t too detrimental. Wanderers to win whoever starts.😁

And the moral of the story is once again...

...don't believe what you read on social media without checking it is true for yourself first!

Yes I know you didn't say it was true but you did post the rumour on this and another thread so it obviously caused you concern - which in the end was completely unfounded.

Glad that was abandoned, had a Baxter cock up written all over it. i dont mind playing out from the back but that was suicidal.

A little something to cheer us up...

...Peterborough went out of their way to lose to Exeter by not only losing after they were winning 1-0 but had a man sent off in the 55th minute, then...

...scored Exeter's equaliser with an own goal in the 75th minute, then...

...scored Exeter's winner for them by means of another own goal (by a different posh player) in the 80th minute!!!

And if that isn't enough to make us smile, another of our promotion rivals Stevenage lost at home 1-0 to lowly (and penniless) Reading!

Plymouth are 5 points in front of us but we have three games in hand (yes, I know, we still have to win the points!).

We are 1 point behind Derby with two games in hand and still 2 points in front of posh but now with 2 games in hand over them.

Come on you whites!
