I have a feeling that this will be a cricket score by the end of full time.

Will Mikel Arteta field his full 1st team squad? I doubt it but even the reserves will bully our team around the pitch.

Will our manager even be in charge for this up and coming game?

It’ll be about 7-0. Just keep it below a record score lads.

I was there the last time we played them in a cup game (FA that time not League Cup).

Will history repeat itself though?

Maybe?

Why so glum about this? I think IE will play pretty much the same team as Saturday and so he should and go for the win. In fairness we’ve nothing to lose it’s a complete one off and the players deserve the chance to test themselves against a top European team, however many second string are fielded. We’ve done it before and every team can have a bad day so let’s hope tomorrow is Arsenals and we can pull off a shock win? COYWM.

The game is on Wednesday and we play early on Saturday so I expect Evatt will not start some of his key players, I suspect many who were on the bench on Saturday will play tomorrow and Thomason may be rested in order to let Santos be captain and lead the team out against his childhood team he supports.

I don't know if Evatt does touches like that but it is a match that we don't have to win at all costs and will give a little something back to Rico after just having the captaincy taken off him.

Off course what I read about Santos supporting Arsenal could simply just be bollocks but it still would be a confidence boost to him just at this moment in time.

We may be facing a 16 year old goalkeeper if I heard correctly - every little bit helps!

1-0 down after 16 minutes. This doesn't look terribly encouraging does it?

Whilst it’s pretty much to be expected, they haven’t done bad so far.

A few good shots at goal, one clear penalty denied and some good passing to be fair.

Pretty much what I expected. We're way off their level, but I just wish we could test this keeper.

We only have ourselves to blame for the goals.

We're rally not playing badly but the gap in quality between us and Arsenal is painfully evident.

We still lack the quality to really compete at this level but I can't fault the players effort tonight and the goal was very well taken.

4-1 This one is definitely over now. Sad really as we've actually not been bad per se, just not a match for Arsenal.
