According to SSN, Swansea are interested in signing him.

Apparently, he wants to stay, but he's not been offered a new deal yet(Alan Nixon).

He's out of contract in the summer, surely not another £2 million down the drain!

Hmmm for aslong as he has been here I am still unsure on the lad, for every good game he has there is another 5 where he is poor.

He just hasn't got any better since we signed him so not sure I would lose much sleep over him leaving.

To be honest, I said he was shite before his last game and I really couldn't care less If we did sell him now. What would irritate me though, is If he is allowed to go on a Bosman this summer. I'm pretty sure we shelled out around £2 million for him.

I can't imagine Swansea looking down in the Championship and saying "Bolton are too good for the Championship - look at the quality they have in Mark Davies and Marcos Alonso! Hmmmm... "

He can't leave on a Bosman in the summer because he is under 24.

It turns out that he is a personal friend of Laudrup's son. They were both at the Real Madrid academy at the same time.

Not convined that will be a good enough reason for the Swansea Chairman.

No, me neither. I wonder if Laudrup has actually watched him play?

We've barely seen him play- so I don't know how Laudrup can have an assessment of himm. He probably thinks he'll get him on the cheap.
However what we have seen of him isn't that spectacular- so any fee approaching what we paid for him- I'd take it

Maybe Laudrup thinks that being Spanish makes him good?

He's way too slow to ever be decent.

He's already better than he was, although that doesn't take much doing. If he focusses on defending and gets a bit more positional sense he could be a good LB, however my concern is that he wants to go forward all the time and so at best could only become an average midfielder. He needs to understand his limitations in order to reach his potential.
