Tom Eaves - HAT TRICK VIDEO (Post No. 47)

A friend of mine attended the Crewe v Shrewsbury game yesterday and texted me the following message;

"Eaves looks quite useful. Big lad but quite quick once he gets going. Crewe's centre halfs' found him a handful all match. Probably as good as most strikers in this league already but might be a bit off the pace for the Championship yet but it'll come with time."

I'm starting to think he's the new Danny Ward, clearly good enough to at least be given a chance in our first team, but will probably end up being sold for between £500k and £1m.

... which is unfortunate for such a big lad.

He seems to be doing well. From the little I've seen, he could be a future Target Man for us. Maybe next season will be his big chance? None of our other strikers are hardly firing at the moment, so I'd like to see how Eaves does in Pre-Season and then take it from there.

I think best to watch Eaves play before making a judgement don't you think.
He more than likely be another in a long list of lads not given a decent chance.

The question is- will Freedman recall him from his loan and ask him to do a job for us? The answer is almost certinly no!.
It's quite depressing that we have younger players with real potential,but they don't get anywhere near a first team opportunity.

It's only league one. He obviously isn't good enough for us yet, he's getting there though.

Good to see him hitting goals at that level, but don't get carried away.

We said that when we got relegated- our strikers with their Prem experience would be knocking them in for fun in the Championship. N'gog.Sordell,SKD - which of them has reached double figures for this season?
If this lad can score prolifically in League 1 then he can't be that bad.
After the next defeat and the hopes of the playoffs have disappeared, he should get him back and give him a chance for a few games - in all honesty,he must be as good as we'ge got trying to score for us now

Danny Ward looked really good in League 1, now he can't get a game for a struggling Championship side. Bit early to be getting excited about Tom Eaves.
