Who Is Robert Hall?

Apparently our latest loan winger, that's who. Marc Iles reports on Twitter that wee Dougie has signed him on loan for a month from West Ham. But who exactly is he?

A lightning-quick forward or winger, Rob Hall has come through the ranks at the Academy of Football after joining West Ham United at the age of seven.

Blessed with elusive ball skills, tight close control and a superb left-foot shot from all ranges, Hall has long been considered one of West Ham and England's brightest attacking prospects.

Capped regularly by his country at age-group level, Hall will be hopeful of one day earning full international honours with England.

Birmingham City have waved a fond farewell to Robert Hall.

The winger's loan from West Ham United formally ends on Saturday.

Hall had already returned early to the Hammers because of a groin problem.

And this week it was revealed that he has undergone a hernia operation, after assessments and tests on the complaint.

"I thought he was terrific, a great lad," said Blues manager Lee Clark.

"I think his last couple of performances probably showed he was playing with that little niggle. He tailed off a little bit.

"He was a great kid, a good footballer and we enjoyed having him here.

"Certainly, if West ham were looking to do something in the future with regards to a loan it would be of interest to us without a doubt.

"That's because we enjoyed him being here and he was very popular with the group and I think he showed that he can be asset to us."

He's being kept out of the West Ham squad by Matt Taylor.

He must be brilliant.

I guarantee you he won't start a single game for BWFC. One day a BWFC manager might understand that signings are meant to improve the team.

Are you serious? That's a great move, Wednesday aren't challenging us for the play offs, Holden gets game time, fitness and confidence.

The description of Hall sounds almost identical to the description of Wylde.

At least we still have SKD.

Apparently, Dougie has been after Hall for months and he only became available at lunch time yesterday. I'm pretty sure he's out of contract at the end of the season. Liverpool have been linked with a Bosman for him.

A west ham mate said he liked the look of him up front but thought he was wasted as a winger.
