Anybody do any Sports, Footy, Rugby,Golf, Athletics Tennis etc ?

I dont nowadays but there must be some Sports Enthusiasts on here.

If I was to choose one to do now it would probably be Golf.

I used to think that about Golf, it not being a Sport a bit like Motor Racing.

Sure though, both of them have
produced a Sports Personality of the Year Award.

I regularly play football, Bolton should sign me up.

I run 5 miles every day during the week, Saturdays off, then 10 miles on a Sunday.

Motor Racing is one of the most difficult and skilled sports in the world.

Racing drivers are a great example of the sportsmen who I think wholly deserve the vast amounts of money they get.

For example, there are only 23 drivers in F1. 23! in the entire world, you don't get overpaid numpties like Zat Knight in that sport.



If I could be a professional in any sport it would be F1, they have unbelievable skill.

I agree about the amount of skill, fitness and concentration it must take to be a Racing Driver.

I like Show Jumping, mainly because my daughter used to compete when she was younger.

I enjoy fell walking mostly these days, love getting up the the Lake or Peak District especially on cold clear day, marvellous.

If I could have chosen a career in professional sport it would have been a cricketer I think especially at international level. Loved to play but utter crap at it.

Golf,if there is a more frustrating sport I have yet to see / play it ! You can love it or hate it inside two minutes !!

Darts.

I play tennis twice a week.

It was a toss up between becoming a professional tennis player or world renowned businesswoman.

I play golf badly and not as often as I'd like to. Had to pack in the footie but still try to keep the boxing going, although not competitively these days - my footwork ain't what it used to be and society doesn't take kindly to old guys punching each other. Still it's good to train but I guess I'll have to wind that down too eventually. Try to ski every year, but even that has become a relatively gentle affair nowadays. Perhaps the only sport I still do that shouldn't be affected too much by advancing years is scuba which I love.
