I fucking hate companies like Quickquid and what they do for business, the club have sold out to a horrible company if it turns out to be them.

Quickquid are a short term loan so the apr they charge is irrelevant. If you borrow $500 you know later on that month you will have to pay $600 back. If you won't have the money to pay it back don't borrow it in the first place, it's not quickquids fault people don't undeestand the basics of borrowing money.

I've heard Gartside was backing App Online, but other board members wanted quick quid as they offered more.

It doesn't particularly bother me to be honest, but I can see why people are upset. Don't borrow money you can't pay back is the main thing really.

I agree-it's a disgrace. There's no way I would buy anything which advertised a business like this.

Is this really the best that we can do in terms of a sponsor??

featuring on Sky News today is the following story too:

Citizens Advice claims loans have been given to some under the age of 18, sufferers of mental health issues, and drunk people.

Fresh evidence of "out of control" payday lenders failing to act responsibly and hounding people for money has been released by a debt advice charity.

Citizens Advice said it had seen cases in recent months which included payday lending to people who were aged under 18, had mental health issues or were drunk when they took out the loan.

The findings come at a time when Britain's biggest payday lenders are under threat of being put out of action if they fail to prove to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) that their practices are up to scratch.

The OFT is expected to announce whether it will refer the payday market for an investigation by the Competition Commission in June.

Citizens Advice said the OFT must take "tough and immediate action" after the trading watchdog handed 50 payday lenders a 12-week deadline in early March to prove their good behaviour or risk losing their licences, which they need in order to trade.

The OFT has written to lenders in waves, telling them where they need to step up, and the responses will be analysed before it decides what to do next.

The Citizens Advice analysis came from 780 cases reported to it between November 2012 and May this year.

It also found that people were being chased for loans they had never taken out and customers were being "hounded" at their home to shame them into paying up.

Struggling borrowers' bank accounts were being drained of cash "without any warning" by lenders using a type of payment agreement called a continuous payment authority (CPA), the charity said.

It found evidence that in some cases, lenders also took more than they were owed and refused to give a refund.

Citizens Advice also looked at customer feedback on 2,000 payday loans from more than 100 lenders, which was provided between November and May.

It said that in almost nine out of 10 cases, borrowers were not asked to hand over documents to show they could afford the loan.

Three-quarters of people questioned said that they struggled to repay the loan and 84% of people with repayment problems were not offered the chance to have their interest and charges frozen.

I think we heard similar hissy fits when 188BET were announced.

"I'm boycotting the whole CLUB and never going again"

I wonder if all 6 of those people followed through?

I'd like someone to answer this question:

You've just lost your job, can't afford the mortgage, have little or no savings.....what do you do? Just move the family out and live on the streets?

And let's have less of the "it'll never happen to me", because it can happen to anyone with a job.

You don't seem to care about anything. You're either putting on an act or are a bit of a scumbag.

If the BNP wanted to sponsor us would you be cool with that?

Look on the bright side, if you've got a poor credit rating it doesn't matter with this outfit.

They'll give a loan to anyone, so if you need to go out on a Saturday night or feel the need to get smashed off your face, this outfit will make sure you get what you want.

You don't borrow money that you have to pay all back plus interest 4 weeks later.

Everyone is avoiding the question.

You've lost your job, have little or no savings, and still have a mortgage and bills to pay. What do you do?

Exactly my point. Faced with that sort of situation people often have to resort to stupid and desperate measures. Firms like QuickQuid prey on the desperate and that is wrong.

I'm saddened that the people running BWFC are so short-sighted that they think this deal is a good one.

Ignoring the social issue, what sort of dickhead is going to walk round town with a t-shirt advertising QuickQuid?

I was once so skint that I didn't have enough to pay for my Friday night hooker. I went on-line and applied for a £100 loan from Wonga. Reason for the loan was one of the first questions, no box for "hookers" obviously so I was forced to lie. The £100 was in my account inside an hour - great service. In fact their service was better than the hookers as she refused to do bareback for anything less than £125. Bitch.

I think the Bolton Ultras should take this matter into their own hands.
