Are you a dreamer?

I'm not, I hardly ever dream. But last night I dreamt a naked Owen Coyle was running after me across Adlington rec with a meat cleaver. I kid you not.

What can this mean?

Do you dream? Any good dreams of late?

Not often, but recently had the same dream over and over and over gain, after the other night when someone started the "what you collect" thread.

I keep dreaming that my old employers take me back on as a specialist, which of course means a lot more money, due to the fact they have realised they need my expertise.... as it was I got to the office and instead of banking papers and statements and whatever it was just Bolton bus timetables, and then as a side dream one of my ex-colleagues who left 5 years ago to join Nike, had returned but had dumped her boyfriend (and father of her child) to set up home with her new girlfriend - but the seetting wasn't Amsterdam it was Adlington!!!

Sounds like you watch too many Final Destinations Jayne.

I dream a lot to be honest and always seem to end up jumping then floating off into mid air, I was at St.James park the other night stood in the centre circle then out of nowhere I am floating about in mid-air over the stands.

I go through periods - I am in the middle of one at the moment actually - of waking have had what seems a very lengthy and involved dream. Who knows how long they lasted in reality, but in all honesty, there are times where it feels like I am living two lives. I won't go into what they are about, they are rarely sexual btw.

Anyway, I had a funny experience when I was a student. For a couple of years I went through a period where I occasionally had vivid dreams that I was leaving my body and floating around the room above myself, sleeping. They were incredibly real-seeming. I really had no way of knowing if someone weird or spiritual was happening, so I started reading up on it.

Apparently the phenomenon is known as astral projection. It would only tend to happen to me if I woke up in the middle of the night for some other reason, then went back to sleep - sleeping when my mind was its most active.

It was a worrying experience in all honesty. I had this feeling that I had to get back to my body or I would die. I didn't know what was going on until one day in mid-Summer, I woke up around dawn, had a bit of how's your father with my girlfriend at the time, and fell asleep again. I had the familiar experience of leaving my body, floating round the room, returning to my body and so on, but I was finally able to prove to myself that it was a dream, because in the 'experience' my room was still dark but the room had been filled with bright sunlight before I had gone back to sleep. So that's how I finally knew it was just very odd dreams, that was about 13 years ago and it's never happened since.

True story.

Soon after the lottery started (about 20 years ago?) my cousin had such a vivid dream of the numbers that one, that it actually woke her up - never happened before or since. She obviously wrote the numbers down and went back to sleep.

Next morning went out and got a ticket.

We've heard about stuff like this happening - well it's the first (and only) time I've known it to happen to someone I know.

The draw came round and amazingly enough she didn't get a single number come up!

She's been playing the same numbers ever since and won naff all!

The dream as cost her a small fortune over the years!

Went through a period of a few years, where I dreamt about drowning at least once a week(ish). Very vivid, and often made me wake up, literally, in a cold sweat. Horrible experience, and one I still go throughj now and then. Some very strange scenarios, for me, but still very realistic otherwise. Only rarely have I survived the dream and kept on sleeping.

I tend to dream very entertaining dreams where I can hardly wait to see what happens next - like movies, really. No stimulation I can think of to cause that, it can happen after playing Fifa for a few hours. I have had a recurring dream where an American Bear was chasing me around the streets where I lived as a child. I did some research which suggested I should face the Bear and stop running from it. So I went to bed with the thought that I was going to fcuk that Bear up if he showed his filthy face in my dreams again, so far he hasn't.

I used to dream I was being chased by a witch on a broomstick over a school playing field when I was younger, told my brother about this when we had grown up and apparently he used to have the same dream.

I dream a lot, mostly nightmares, some are hard to comprehend ugly looking monsters chasing and capturing me, locking me up and torturing me.

Others, being bombed during the war and trying to take cover.

One i had the other night, noticed a lot of planes in the sky, looked like fighter planes, but people were distracted by the fact that the Town Hall was on Fire. At the same time i was working on a major Gas leak and it ignited i caught fire, went running for help. Only to met by invading Chinese Soldiers, up Halliwell, and being prodded by their Bayonets.

But the worst one i ever have is were i start smoking again.

Banksy, funny you mention about the bombing. I have a similar one, but its a nuclear detonation, and all the follow-on actions.

I had a very vivid nightmare last night - so much so I woke up in sweats and shivering.

The dream was that we got well and truly thrashed by Manchester City, although the scoreline flattered us. We seemed to have lost the match 2-0, although the score should have been about 6 or 7-0, but our illustrious manager comes out and tells the whole world that we did ourselves proud and he was happy with the way we played. It was at that moment I woke up from the nightmare....

Did the manager appear in a very bright light, and have a halo ?
