Walcott was over hyped I'll give you that, (never called the best player in the world though). I saw the Ox play against Milan a couple of years ago and he was outstanding, played through the middle and ran the show. He hasn't kicked on, but he's only 20 he can still be a very good player.

Carrick takes a load of stick even off his own fans he's certainly not over hyped. He's one of those players who, had he been Italian and playing in Serie A all his career everyone would rave about what a superb player he was, great passing/ technique, so calm on the ball etc. But he's English so everybody moans that all he does is sideways pass, it's nonsense really.

I think you need to have a word with yourself about this English player overhype theory. It's obviously true to an extent, but you've gone way over the top with it.

I haven't. You only need listen to the commentary or read the papers, I'm not exaggerating that all those mentioned have been dubbed either the best in the world (at some point) or are now mooted as some of the "best young talent in the world"

And yes I'm a big fan of Bale but i don't "lick his arse" I just enjoy watching him play. And then comment on him.
