A proper name is needed for this forum

The word 'banter' makes me want to throw my clogs through the window and be sick in to my dungarees.

General Banter is so liberal with a hint of chavvyness.

I've never really thought about it until now, but you're right, the word 'banter' is a bit rubbish.

Yes I'm having that.

I've been protesting against the word 'banter' for years and I'm delighted somebody else shares my hatred. It's the single most overused and misused word in the dictionary today. It's got to the stage where people are constantly looking for an excuse to use it, so I now cringe even when I see/hear it used correctly.

So yes, I think we can think of better names for the forum.

Banter suggests a (humourous) exchange of opinions which is not always the case on here

Bolton Bun Fight might better capture the reality.
