The Birmingham Botanical Gardens censored some paintings by sticking bits of paper on them because some half-witted teacher complained. Apparently this was a "multicultural school party visit". Given the pathetic explanation from the Gardens one suspects that yet again someone is pandering to religious extremism.

Censoring jokes in the Big Bang Theory when they air on E4 seems pathetic. Every episode is censored over really nothing stuff. Seems stupid and annoying.

They used to do the same with Friends on E4, I thought it may be something to do with cutting down the episodes slightly to fit more adverts in

Nah it's to do with censoring. They don't need to cut the episodes down, they just show a shorter ident if they need to save time. It's always a mildly rude joke or rude word that gets cut out. 

It can be something as simple as Raj saying "Bombay Badonkadonks".

They do it with other shows too...


like in the episode of Friends where they think Phoebe is a pornstar after seeing the film with her twin sister.... except they cut out every reference of porn and pornstar along with many other scenes, so the entire episode literally did not make sense.

55 seconds "that gossipy bitch" was cut on e4 version.

So it goes like this...

"how do you know that"
"my sister told me"
"no offence"
"none taken"

instead of...

"how do you know that"
"my sister told me"
"that gossipy bitch - no offence"
"none taken"

as you can see it makes no sense the e4 version.

Isn't TBBT the one about the gay nerds that are uncomfortable with women, sport and anything vaguely modern? If so it should be censored from start to finish as my youngest lad has started to watch it and I'm concerned he'll get the misconception that it passes for humour.

They aren't gay, most of them are in relationships with women, they love modern technology and it's very funny - so I don't think you need to worry too much WL.
