Transfer Gossip?

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman is ready to snap up Leeds striker Luke Varney if he misses out on his no 1 target, Cardiff hitman Rudy Gestede. Varney is ready to quit Elland Road, where he has slipped out of chief Brian Mcdermott's plans.

Crewe boss Steve Davis is keen to take Bolton's young striker Zach Clough on loan. Davis watched Clough in action last week and the 18 year old could join several of his Reebok team mates in leaving Wanderers to gain valuable first team football.

We don't need anymore loan players unless we can get some mug to take David Ngog on loan.

Whoever comes in isn't going to replace Beckford so what's the bloody point.

Dougie's already been quoted as saying he has no interest in Gestede mate. In fact it's mentioned on this very forum in a different thread. As to Luke Varney he's decent on his day but no better than what we have now so I'd pass.

Watching Sky Sports news this morning and it said Messi could possibly  becoming to England in the next 2 years. It also said due to his sponsorship with Adidas they would want him to go to a club whose kit is made by Adidas. So it's us or Chelsea.

Who the bloody hell is Luke Varney?

For once in the last twenty four hours I agree with this poster. Unless we can find someone better than Beckford who is on good form right now anyway then why bother bringing in another bench warmer?

We don't know what DF is planning for sure. Another forward may be as back up for Beckford (assuming he needs someone with far more pace than Cavies to play this defensive system) or he may be looking for someone to play the box to box midfielder role that Ngog managed to do so well for an hour at Bournemouth before he was knackered.
It's starting to look like Dougie is vacillating between 2 approaches to solve the lack of creativity in the midfield whilst Holden and Mavies are out so it's hard to tell. He either plays a second striker to run their nads off box to box or he's trying to find a replacement crafty link man (which is why Moritz is around) or a combination of both (switching it from the bench) depending on the state of the game etc.
Seems reasonable enough given our situation.

That would be brilliant but I heard his agent wants TWO pies not one AND that he expects Doris the tea lady to fetch Sainsbury's Ginger nuts not Asda so Phil said no deal.
