Craig Davies bagged a hat-trick today for PNE.

Frankly astonished that one of our more switched on contributors hasn't already pointed this fact out.

The Juke's a much better player than Craig Davies. A hat trick against one of the worst teams in league one doesn't change that for me.

Fair play, but he put that round thing in that hole three times today.

When did one of ours last do that?

Weren't we playing the worst team in our league yesterday? What happened to our strikers ?

And the last Bolton player to score a hat-trick whilst playing for us was Fredi Bobic!

Dougie decided to rest Joe Mason, with it being his final game of the season, like you do.  

Davies has found his level at Preston and league one, a bit like Eaves.

I won't shed a tear if he stays there.

Davies was never given a fair chance...he's big, strong and decent in front of goal. Who knows what he would do in a 4-4-2 with a bit of support and a decent run in the side.

Next season our strikers will almost certainly be Beckford, Davies & Sordell, but we all know it will be one upfront and more abject failure.

No chance will our strikers be Beckford, Sodell and Davies. We'll sell Davies to Preston if they go up, should make a little money on him t be fair as he was brought cheap. Sordell will be tricky as he's done nothing at Charlton, we'd be able to loan him out again though. So Beckford and a signing plus another loan would be my guess.

We'll sell Cravies to Preston for about 400k and Stuart Pearce will rescue Sordell and buy him off us for about 500k. Chungy will have a great world cup and we'll flog him for around £3 million and then we'll be able to buy the Juke for around £1 million and Joe Mason for around £1.5 million. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Davies may go to Preston, but I doubt it. No one will loan Sordell, he was shit at Bolton, shit at Charlton and no doubt he's on massive Owen Coyle wages. I suspect we're stuck with him unless we can offload the ponce on a free transfer.

What a load of rubbish, Davies looked like a big lump, running round like a headless chicken, doing nothing, we sold Ngog because of that, Davies is more suited to the lower league , that's for sure.

I don't get that.

Davies never had a chance, his best run in the side was 3 starts.

Mason played 8 consecutive games and scored once.

Of course, as an armchair fan you probably think he had eight outstanding games.

Sordell is wasted talent. What he needs is a tough manager to help him sort himself out. I thought he did OK last season, considering he'd hardly played for a year when he finally got a run in the team.

It's hard to imagine Craig Davies giving us more than Jutkiewicz has, had he stayed. I don't think that justifies loaning him out considering the money we've spent on Trotter's wages. I think he could have been useful for us in a 4-4-2 especially alongside Jutkiewicz.

Granted - he's lightweight, but he's young. Bulk him up a bit and he could replace Sparky as an attacking midfielder playing behind preferably two strikers.
