Scorching here. Even more scorching when I popped into the loft.
I spent as little as 10 mins in there and came out looking like I just had a shower with my clothes on.

I don't go into the loft much these days, after putting my back out climbing in a few years ago. I was alone in the house, and spent two hours half in, half out, until someone came home.karlypants wrote:Scorching here. Even more scorching when I popped into the loft.

I am seeing people quaffing pints of alcohol outside pubs with a sort of beetroot complexion. Their skin seems to be heating up and then popping like a sausage. They are eating plenty of salty snacks, and I am happy I am not working next to any of them tomorrow as their breath will come DIRECT from Satans backside.

Now, the more experienced and hard bitten posters will know where I'm going with this, but, being a relative newcomer on here, you've made a serious error of judgement, because, you've inadvertently allowed me the opportunity to pay tribute to the greatest of all entertainers, and for that you have my most sincere thanks.
Let all posters thrill once again (I hope Breadman is looking in) to the great man's tribute to the black Bruce Forsyth, Mr Sammy Davis Jnr.

Id say that Bruce Forsyth was one of the best television presenters that this country has ever had. I am aware of his musical influences, which, are from another era and are certainly very good. I dont like sammy davis jnr at all, he just hasnt done anything I like. The big band and swing and Jazz, thats an excellent genre. One would have to be a fool to ignore good music. I listen to a wide variety of music. As I get older I do like my researches into the past. From when I was very young and my Mum had the Radio on I remember the late sixties and the seventies, and that has stayed with me, though the eighties is my era I suppose.
