Someone gave me a jar of Vegemite last week. Haven't tried it yet.

It's shite. Not a patch on Marmite. I bought a jar to try it because I had been told it tasted the same as Marmite and was popular in Australia. The Aussies can keep it.

Thanks RT. Always steered clear of it because of reviews like yours,but as it was a gift I was gonna give it a go,it being veggie friendly. 
Might try it on a single round of bread with some whiskey to hand.

I like Marmite on toast but I didn't like the taste of Vegeshite at all. Let me know what you think after you have tried it.
