Other awkward situations are when you accidentally spit on the person you are talking to you and you both HAVE TO CARRY ON AS IF NOTHING HAS HAPPENED because it's the LAW!

(maybe the spitee is allowed to wipe his lip/eye/cheek but only after 10-12 seconds have passed)

That's not awkward, you just have a laugh about it and tell the person who spat on you "I want the news, not the weather".
