don't quite follow Boggers? I am gutted at missing the Boxing day game, i hate missing any home games. Saying that though the hairy trucker might have been preferable to watching some of the crap we had to endure under Dougie

Craig Pawson will oversee Wanderers’ clash with Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day.

A referee who has been involved in the game for the best part of seven seasons, the South Yorkshire based official has overseen 13 games so far this season, all of which have been Premier League encounters.

Dishing out 42 yellow and four red cards during the current campaign, Pawson last officiated a Bolton match when the Whites defeated Derby 2-0 at Macron Stadium in August 2012.

Adrian Holmes and Marc Perry will run the line, while Sebastian Stockbridge is the fourth official.

Unbeaten in seven matches and having kept clean sheets in their last four, Bolton Wanderers host Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day keen to maintain their unbeaten run at Macron Stadium under Neil Lennon.

Hovering outside the play-off places off the back of a nine-match unbeaten run, Blackburn bounced back from back-to-back defeats to secure a 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in their last match.

Craig Davies and Kevin McNaughton (both hamstring) are closing in on first-team returns, but Friday’s Boxing Day clash could come too soon for the duo.

Since joining Blackburn Rovers from Cardiff City in November 2013, Rudy Gestede has been a revelation for the Ewood Park outfit, scoring 25 goals in 449 appearances.

The French-born Benin international started his career with Metz in 2004, spending six years in France before signing for Cardiff City following a successful trial in July 2011.

A Championship winner with the club in 2013, Gestede found his first team opportunities limited following Cardiff’s promotion to the Premier League and was allowed to join Blackburn on loan in November 2013, before the move was made permanent the following January.

Forming a lethal partnership in attack with Jordan Rhodes, Gestede is currently the Championship’s joint third leading goalscorer this season, having scored 12 goals from 21 appearances.

Wanderers put in one of their best performances of the 2013/14 season the last time Blackburn visited Macron Stadium, securing an emphatic 4-0 victory over their local rivals.

Medo Kamara headed the Whites in front midway through the first half, getting down low to steer Neil Danns' cross in at the near post, before Joe Mason doubled Bolton’s lead moments before the break, poking home after Danns’ initial strike was blocked.

Jay Spearing made it 3-0 within minutes after the restart, smashing a 20-yard strike in off the underside of the bar before substitute Andre Moritz put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, firing home from a similar range.

Rudy Gestede has done well. Apparently he's managed to play in 449 games in the 13 months he's been at Ewood. His return of 25 goals is a bit shit though.
