Yesterday, James Trafford signed a new 4 year deal keeping him at City until 2027.

I've only seen this rumour on Twitter and suspect it's tosh unless Ryan Reynolds is suddenly feeling flush and pissed off after narrowly failing to get promoted last season - but you never know - we might need the money for other deals.

Well we know he has another 12 months on his current one Lusty and given the perceived interest in him, maybe Fulham think that if they extend his contract they can get more for him in a transfer? I can easily understand his rejecting it because he wants first team football and no way is he going to get that with Fulham now in the PL. it’s interesting what’s going on with him but if nothing happens maybe a return to the US will be best for him. I'm fascinated by these B team signings - haven't seen any of them play yet other than grainy Youtube stuff and it would be a masterstroke if a few of them progress to the first team. They all seem to be athletic and strong which is no bad thing.

It's been deadly quiet on the Eoin Toal front and tonight he played in the 2 nil away defeat in Riga as Derry City crashed out of the European Conference League - so maybe we'll hear something tomorrow?

If the first hour of the Carlisle game is anything to go by, we desperately need a no nonsense defender like Toal in there as we are still suffering from last season's woes at the back namely faffing about with the ball deep in our own area, overplaying it across the back, poor marking/ball watching and trying to be too clever when we're under pressure instead of launching it into the stands.
If we can't defend against a L2 side, we'll get murdered by better quality opposition.
