Stoke are showing interest in Bolton midfielder Lee Chung-yong.

The 24-year-old South Korean has scored three goals in 17 games this season after battling back from injury.

Rumour says Stoke will pay £8 million for him too!

For 8mil they can have him, he looked totally disinterested against Charlton.

Would definitely take 8million.

Invest all of that in January, and push us back into the premier league!

I think Chungy is a fantastic player, easily in our top three most creative.

But a £8 million bid would seriously have to be considered, I suppose it depends on if we are willing to invest in January without having to sell players, don't want to sell if we don't actually have to.

I can't see Stoke paying £8 million though.

I'll be gutted if he goes. I think he is still getting his full confidence back after his leg break so within the next few month he will be back to his best.

cant argue with £8m though

Sad

I'd sell him for any offer over say £6 million, providing Dougie has the funds to spend.Chungy's not been very good so far this season, Eagles can easily replace him wide right and be more effective imo.

If Stoke want to pay 8million then let them, some fans are saying he hasn't got the confidence since breaking his leg and isn't the same player but IMO he thinks he is too good for this league and is saving himself for a move away from the club, he just doesn't look interested when he has the ball at his feet.

This is one of the biggest bullshit stories I have EVER read, anyone who thinks there's even a grain of truth in it should be told the tooth fairy doesn't exist before they make an even bigger fool of themselves.

Firstly, why would Stoke want a player who is completely out of form at Championship level? Chances are he will never be the player he was, and even the player he was wasn't a world beater.

But £8m? Wigan could have had him for under £4m if the player had been keen and that was before his shitty form of the last few months, so why would Stoke pay £8m? You don't think clubs talk? You don't think they have players watched.

I can see the Stoke scout now on his phone to Tony Pulis straight after the Bolton/Charlton game:

Scout: Yeah, just watched Chung Lee. He did bugger all for 70 minutes and was taken off. Bolton improved immediately.

Pulis: Ok, he's pretty shit then?

Scout: Yeah, but let's bid £8m.

Alan Nixon on twitter has said?

Agent talk. Not a priority for Stoke. They want full backs first. And would also need to sell.

This is almost as good as the guaranteed £17.5 million we were going to get for Cahill.

Already hate Stoke. Vile club.

For reasons already stated, I can't see us getting £8million for Chungy. Once back to 100%, I think he will be a key part of any future promotion push. So let's keep hold unless anyone really does want to pay silly money for him.

Anyway, I thought Stoke only bought ex-Rugby players over 6ft tall!?

Stoke remind me of us in the early Allardyce years. They're northern (ish) "overachieve", are not averse to high balls into the box, enjoy upsetting the fancy dans....they're OK IMO apart from a) Wembley (although I put that down to us not them) and b) the last day of last season.

c) their fans behaviour at the reebok a few seasons back.

d) the fact that they copied us, but managed their budget better and ended up doing a better job of it than we did.

It's the last day of last season that still pisses me off. Two very dubious goals to say the least.

However if we had won that game I am sure we would still have Coyle in charge and we would be bottom of the table. So maybe it's one step back and hopefully two steps forward under Dougie.

QPR are also interested. They are definitely daft enough to give us 8 mill for chung

They're the third highest (net) spenders in the premier league over the past 5 seasons (£75 million), they’ve had money we never did.

I don’t like Stoke, partly for their dickhead fans, partly for inflicting the worst day I’ve ever had as a Bolton fan and partly a bit of jealousy to be fair.

got to the FA cup final at OUR expense - made us look like muppets battering us 5-0.

signed players we could only dream of signing - not amazing players granted, but players we cannot afford or attract.

didn't go down, never even close. - we did, if they had done us a favour and threw a dead-rubber game or not had the benefit of a corrupt cuntish referee on the last game of the season, we would have stayed up.

not doing to bad in the prem at the mo.

played in Europe (again at our expense)

the fans are now believing they are a 'big' club - up there with Liverpool and are some of the cockiest twats ive ever met.
