Yes, I think the owners of Bet365 also own Stoke. Surprised they're allowed to sponsor Stoke as well though, as I thought you couldn't put your own company's name on the shirts (hence no Venky's on laughing stocks shirt...)

I have just had a look. Peter Coates the owner and Chairman is listed as the 25th richest person in British football with a net worth of 750 million. As well as owning BET365 he also owns Signal Radio.
They can easily afford the 8 million.
