GREGG Wylde could be on his way to Hibernian.

Bury boss Kevin Blackwell, who has had Wylde on loan for the last two months, said today he believes the 21-year-old winger is heading for Edinburgh.

The Scottish Premier League side are looking for a wide player and Wylde is understood to fit the bill as a loan replacement.

Blackwell said: “Gregg Wylde has gone back to Bolton after his loan, and I believe he has gone to Hibs, either tomorrow or today.

“I’d like to thank Gregg for all his work and for what he gave us, and also Bolton, who were outstanding.''

after all that fuss getting him in it seems we have little chance of ever seeing him play for us. If he does well at Hibs i would expect a permanent move will follow

Sell him. Obviously not good enough

I'm just glad we got him for free rather than the 500k we offered last January.

No doubt he was on some ridiculous wage though - another Coyle masterstroke.

Another stroke of genius by Coyle, it makes me wonder whether coyle ever fucking scouted these players or just pulled names out of a hat at random.

It's not as if he hasn't played for us because he doesn't want to...

I watched him a few times in pre season and I thought he looked okay.

See Transfer thread:
HIBS manager Pat Fenlon has been left bewildered by stories linking him with transfer targets he has never even considered.
The Easter Road boss was responding to press speculation which suggested he was preparing swoops for a number of players, including former Rangers winger Gregg Wylde and St Mirren's Scotland Under-21 midfielder Kenny McLean.
But Fenlon insists most of the names which have appeared in print are not on his wish list.
He said: "I've seen one or two of the stories about people we have been linked with, but I don't know where they have come from.
"It amazes me when you get linked with talking to people and offering pre-contracts to people when you haven't even looked at them.

He hardly set league two alight with bury, he isn't going to make the grade here.

Seems Greg diesn't even want to be here:-

“Gregg is back, and we’ve had a few calls for him,” he said.

“I’d like to keep him but he’s a bit different. He’s played Champions League football and needs to go back out and play, so his agent tells me.

“I think it’s only right that if he doesn’t want to be here, then we send him back out.”

You can read into that what you want to but it sounds as if he isn't Dougies cup of tea. The reference to his agent says it all really.

Obviously he wants to play football.

And he'll be saying similar to his agent.

I'd bet he'd be more likely to want to be here if he actually got a game for us.
