I have noticed when we have a goal kick all the players (including the away players) stand on the left hand side of the pitch - the right hand side doesn't have one single player in it.  Why don't we get someone to sprint from the left to the right hand side, where there is loads of space and simply run up the field and score?

On the majority of Goal kicks we hoofed the ball to the left hand side and inevitably lost the ball.

I think we should adopt this tactic.

Too old fashioned.

If Bogdan is taking the goal kick forget it, his distribution is awful. Last night evrything was aimed down our left and Tierney didn't win a header all night.

I'd rather see the back 4 a drop back a bit when we have a goal kick and play out from the back instead of hoofing it up field.

It's not rocket science though, it worked under big sam because he got that style of play down to a tee with the likes of SKD, but I lost count last night on how often the ball came over to Tierney and I think he kept it in play twice out of about 10 goal kicks.

How does Dougie think this is the right tactic to play?

They don't have the ability to play it out from the back.

so they play the percentages. Simple really.

They don't have the ability to pass a ball 5 yards from the goalkeeper to the centre back? We're bad but not that bad.

I know "playing it out from the back" isn't just the pass from the keeper to the CB.

It doesn't work like that.
