Feel Sorry for Rammy!!

Hello Everyone,
Its time to feel sorry for me.
I was admitted to Fairfield hospital in Bury last Sunday evening and then transferred overnight to North Manchester general hospital  where they operated on me on arrival for about 4 hours. Apparently I had blocked and twisted bowels and they had to cut out about 8 inches of bowel. I've spent about 4 days being pumped with morphine for pain relief but they tell me I'll be discharged in the next couple of days but won't be able to drive for at least three weeks. So I'm going to miss a couple more home  games.

I used to live in Ramsbottom.....well, Holcombe Brook actually, but near enough. I wonder if our paths ever crossed....

Thanks everyone for the good wishes- I'm being discharged today after 12 days in hospital- they were waiting for all natural functions to be working again. Apparently just touching bowels or intestines can make them dormant , they begin to sulk and it can take a long time for them to start working again.
Being in an NHS hospital is an eye opener. There are some people here who are extraordinarily hard working and dedicated, who are still on the premises regularly for an hour after their shifts have finished  whilst there are others who simply don't turn up for two days on the trot.
Ward politics is like an on going soap opera.
Anyway I'm out today but not to drive for another three weeks so I guess I'll miss a couple of matches.
But again- thanks for the good wishes - they're much appreciated
