God Save the Queen

In a few hours time the queen will become the longest reigning monarch in our history.

I'm not a big fan of all the extended royal family but I think a constitutional monarchy (a sort of non powerful figure head) is quite a good idea - and that I for one would not like to live my life in the public glare of the world for any amount of money.

Not her fault that she was born into the royal family and I think she's made rather a good job of it, even considering how society's view of the monarchy changes over the years, especially when one of the less clueless of her family drops a bollock from time to time, which they are prone to do.
