Not looking good for my near neighbour Lizzy.

Eldest son and his second wife and eldest grandson already on their way to her little cottage in Scotland.

Not much of a Royalist but it will be sad when she dies.

I can do without the 24/7 TV programming coming our way though.

I'm no royalist either but she has personally done a great job domestically and internationally, put up with all sorts of crap from her family, been gracious in all her dealings with foreign leaders, comforted many in times of crisis and probably brought more money into this country than any global corporation.
Bless her.

As a true Royalist I feel, so sad to have lost her majesty but what a wonderful woman she’s been for this country. Can’t say I’m greatly fond of Charles but in fairness there is nobody who could have replaced his mother. RIP your majesty and thank you for your service.

Pretty much sums up my take on it as well. But God bless the old girl, she's been a good 'un and managed to keep Charles away from doing much damage for as long as could be expected.

RIP Her Majesty

Queen Elizabeth II

Sad news to hear that she passed away and it really does feel odd knowing that she’s gone. I don’t have  any time for the spoiled and privileged rest of them so it really feels like the end of the monarchy for me. I’d have liked to have seen them give (King) Big Sam a go next - reckon he’d do a good job.

I remember the Queen as a young woman with a beautiful smile and I don’t expect to forget that last photograph of her with that same smile.

My word we have a lot to thank her for in the seventy years she has been our monarch.  It will not  be the same without her.

God bless Queen Elizabeth II.

RIP

I don’t suppose Fin could be suffering from Allardymer’s Disease. It’s a bit like Alzheimer’s except that it seems to be infectious, especially around Bolton,

God bless Queen Elizabeth II.

RIP

I remember going to see the Queen when she visited Bolton in 1954.

My parents had friends who had a Baby Linen shop in Churchgate so we got a good position.

Not sure if they stopped for a pastie!

Sad day, she is all most of us have known, a great queen. RIP.
Long live the King he's certainly waited for the chance.

For the last few years he's been in training for the job and has stopped expressing personal opinions that could be construed as political so I think he's ready and hope he and Queen Camilla are given the chance to succeed despite it being a very tough act to follow.

"Can you imagine Joe Biden on the bus?", says a foreign ambassador in London?

Put him on a 23T to Bury. He'll not know the difference.

Personally I think this "woke" nonsense has gone way too far.
Now they've gone and made a man Queen.
Where will it end?

I'm certainly not impressed by this behaviour from the new King...

This mural has understandably divided opinion - it sucks.
