Our next game is against Charlton away at the The Valley stadium.

After our marginal loss away at Hull, are we going to get any luck with this game?

Here are The Addicks last 5 championship results:

Charlton 0-0 Leeds
Brighton 3-2 Charlton
Charlton 0-3 Ipswich
Birmingham 0-1 Charlton
Charlton 3-1 Sheff Weds

Here are the last 5 meetings between both clubs:

Bolton 2-2 Charlton
Bolton 1-1 Charlton
Charlton 2-1 Bolton
Charlton 0-0 Bolton
Bolton 1-1 Charlton

This really is a must win game for us with Charlton being in 21st position and 17 points while Bolton are still rock bottom in 24th place with 12 points.

I'm going to go with a Bolton win for this game.

My prediction: Charlton 1-2 Bolton

How do you all feel we will do?

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

We will lose. This team isn't good enough to win at home let alone away. Whether its a must win or not these players just don't have the quality to rise to the occasion and I'm not sure they even want to. It will probably end up being Heskey up front on his own so we have slim to no chance of scoring a goal. I hate being this pessimistic but I've already got my head around being in league 1 next season now. I would clear out the lot of them and start blooding any of the half decent youngsters we've got in preparation for next season.

I'm predicting a very scrappy game that ends goalless. Charlton have been almost as woeful as we have in attack all season. Even with our sieve defence and Charlton's poor back line I don't think either team has the confidence to take advantage.

When both teams have quality issues I tend to think that the run of the ball, refereeing decisions and luck play a much bigger part than usual in determining the outcome of games and I suspect this game will hinge on one or more of these factors.

As LPP says it's likely to be scrappy if only because our control, passing and shooting has been woeful recently and unless there is a dramatic change, we'll be handing over possession all the time.

Could go either way but I think we need to get the first goal if there is one.

Ref watch: Graham Horwood to oversee Charlton clash

Graham Horwood will officiate Bolton Wanderers' latest Sky Bet Championship match as they travel to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night

Having returned to Football League action 2013/14 following two seasons running the rule over Conference matches, the official will be overseeing Wanderers for the first time in his career.

In the seven matches Horwood has taken charge of so far this season, he has dished out 28 yellow cards and no red cards.

Alan Young and Adam Crysell will run the line while Frederick Graham is the fourth official.

Preview: Charlton Athletic v Bolton

SETTING THE SCENE
Bolton Wanderers travel to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday as they face the Addicks in their last away match before Christmas.

Yet to win on their travels so far this season, the Whites boast the superior record in this fixture with 42 victories to Charlton’s 28, however, you have to go back to October 2005 for their last win at The Valley.

Hosts Charlton currently sit just a place above the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone having won just twice since August, setting up a tight game under the lights between the sides in the capital.

TEAM NEWS
Zach Clough will be assessed and could return to the Wanderers squad for Tuesday’s trip to Charlton.

Darren Pratley (concussion) and Josh Vela (arm) are fit having picked up knocks against Hull City, while Jose Manuel Casado (suspension) and Gary Madine (illness) are also available.

However, Shola Ameobi (groin) will miss the trip to London, while Wellington Silva (hamstring) is not yet ready to return.

Elsewhere, Max Clayton (hamstring) remains a long-term absentee.

LAST CHARLTON ATHLETIC XI (v Leeds United, D0-0)
Henderson, Holmes-Dennis, Solly, Lennon, Jackson (Ba 81), Gudmundsson, Cousins, Diarra, Vaz Te (Ahearne-Grant 88), Ghoochanneijhad (Makienok 81), Lookman.

ONE TO WATCH
Former Wanderer Ricardo Vaz Te will face the Whites for the first time since leaving the club in May 2010 when Bolton travel to The Valley on Tuesday.

The forward joined Charlton on a deal until the end of the season last month, and has made four appearances for the Addicks so far since being handed his debut against Birmingham City.

Having come through the ranks at Bolton, Vaz Te also played for Hull City, Panionios, Hibernian, Barnsley, West Ham United and Akhisar Belediyesor prior to his move to Charlton.

Don't think I've ever had less belief in a Bolton team in terms of scoring goals. Every striker we've got should be no more than a fringe player for a club at our level but circumstances dictate otherwise. Just gotta hope we defend well which we are capable of doing, and nick a goal from somewhere, but we're more likely to concede first and be hopelessly chasing the match most of the time.

Back in the day this used to be a happy hunting ground, but this team, in this mood, in this position ?you just can't see a goal. so probable low scoring defeat.

I'm ignoring the game completely in the hope that it brings us luck.

Probably watch Hartlepool v Salford.
