The article written by Alan Nixon in The Sun goes on to say, that as well as the weeekly wages being paid that isn't the end of it. On top of that, those deals all include appearance money, which in some cases means an extra £3,000 per game.
And there are NO pay cuts in the deals which were mainly agreed when we were ainming to get out of the Championship in the other direction.

While it's quite believable in the main, I don't believe Heskey is getting £7k per week.

He's shit. No one else wanted him. He's about 96. And still shit. If he's on more than £700 per week heads should roll.

Back to my on-going point about the takeover.  If the consortium is not willing to pump money in ...or they don't have the money ...then why the fook have they bought us?  The whole payroll doesn't add up to Rooney's paycheck. If we have to clear players out in the summer then same question .....what's the point of it exactly?

Absolutely no one will not be on a basic wage. About 7k a week seems reasonable for someone like Heskey.

Might not be palatable but it doesn't surprise me in the least. 

"top pros" like Spearing are undoubtedly on big wages for some reason. At least Heskey did something at the top level.

And that Hips is exactly what the arguement is about, he isn't capable anymore.

Of course not, but when you go into a contract negotiation you bring your CV.

If Heskey is pay as you play why the hell start him for 60 mins? 

The guys not putting a full shift in for his money, if I turned up at work and only did two thirds of a shift I'd get two thirds the pay.

£7000 for Heskey is an absolute joke.

Just thinking.  Feeney earns in a WEEK what many of us earn in a year. 

It really is ludicrous. 

I clapped and cheered him off for doing well at his job the other day. Then the day after I got up at 730 to do a 13 hour work day and maybe didnt make enough money to buy a family day out at the macron.
